Zhen-Huan Lu (Born 1950) is an American artist of Chinese descent. He studied at the Department of State Design in Shanghai Theatre Academy from where he obtained a diploma. The academy was famous for its excellent training in landscape painting using the Western style. One year after he graduated from the academy, Lu got a job with the same institution to offer painting classes. He later moved to the U.S. in 1986 to present his work in an exhibition held in New York.
Lu has a unique way of painting as he had both the western and eastern influence. He creates his artwork on familiar objects, making his works appealing to a wide audience. Although he never likes including people in his landscape paintings, he manages to give the viewer the impression that there is life in the image. Lu achieves this by including human elements that provide a clear indication of the presence of human life.
His works are widely sought for and can be found in a number of high profile museums across the globe. They’re also available in diverse galleries, mainly in the U.S. and China. In 2002, Lu got an invitation by the then First Lady Laura Bush to paint a Christmas Card for The White House. This, plus several other commissions, has earned him respect in several quarters. His long standing experience has enabled him to expand his artistic knowledge and sharpen his skills. For those who want framed Zhen-Huan Lu art, there are several galleries that sell them including a host of other finishing options such as canvas and lamination.
