Didier Lourenco was born in 1968 in a small Spanish town near Barcelona. This Spanish artist is known for his lithographs, paintings and other works. He infuses the classic Spanish designs with modern art in his works. Didier expressed interest in painting at a very young age. He was inspired by his father, who was also an artist, and the places and the people around him. He began training and working with his father when he was a teenager. Most of his life has been spent in and around Barcelona, but he has also attended exhibitions and shows in other places. Didier also sent time in Italy where he was able to view the works of the masters and gained inspiration from their paintings. Didier Lourenco held his first art exhibition just a few years after the beginning of his formal training. He experimented with lithography but later incorporated some new techniques into his paintings. He took advice from artists who passed by to see his dad while he was still working for him. That is how his skills developed. He incorporates dynamic and bold colors into his pieces. Even though he is known for his painting, he also dabbles in sculpturing and lithography. His pieces are found in galleries, private collectors and museums around the world. Because of their high demand, many galleries stock Didier Lourenco framed art that are prepared ready for installation. Lourenco’s pieces often incorporate elements from paintings that he admires. They have a Cubist look, with clearly defined and angular facial features. Many of his paintings are inspired by the memories of the places he has visited. Currently, he continues to work and paint on his designs in his Barcelona studio.
