Adolf Llovera (Born 1942) was born and raised in Barcelona, Spain. He was born in an artistic family, and at a young age, he used to visit art galleries in Barcelona. This formed his foundation in arts and also his earliest art influences. His brother became a leading modern painter and sculptor, while his sister chose fashion as the best medium to apply her creativity. Visiting the galleried in Barcelona made him to be particularly attracted to the works of the Impressionist painters from France and he decided to study drawing and painting at the Masana School in Barcelona. He worked in various day jobs to support himself and attended classes in the evenings. Upon graduation, he applied his artistic knowledge and abilities to creating textile imagery. The artist says that his years of working in the textile industry prepared him well for his painting career. He adds that when one works in fashion they have to be on alert for any movement, it doesn’t matter whether it is artistic, political or cultural. His paintings are as exquisite in their simplicity as they are elegant in their intensity. Llovera meshes everyday, simple realities with the colors of his thoughts to create inviting visual pathways that lead his viewers to a familiar, warm place. Llovera’s lively brushstrokes and pure colors provide confirmation of the happiness he experiences when changing scenes and simple daily objects into rich interpretations combining an Impressionistic sensibility with a vivid palette. The framed Adolf Llovera art have been used for several years for decorative works.
