Kim Levin is a writer and art critic from America. From 1982 to 2006 she was a regular contributor to The Village Voice. Kim has been contributing to ArtNews since 2007. Kim is a creative and confident artist who’s self-sufficient, self-motivated, and comes to her clients with a strong background in both digital and print media. From 1973 to 1977 Kim worked as a correspondent to Opus International. And from 1980 to1994, she worked at Flash Art as a correspondent. From 1973 to 1992, the artist also worked as a contributing editor for Arts Magazine. Her art developed from her passion and regard for what nature provides, the landscape, the attractive sceneries and the beautiful objects. Her art evolved from her desire to represent the beauties of natural and man-made objects so that others can taste and enjoy the beauty of these man-made and natural things that surround us. She has also contributed to many publications some of which include Artstudio, Parkett, VOIR and Sculpture, among others. She has lectured in the United States and internationally at: the Cincinnati Center of Contemporary Art, Barnard College, the Whitney Museum of American Art, The New School for Social Research, the Guggenheim Museum, Brown University, the São Paulo Art Biennial, the California Institute of the Arts, the Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago, and many other institutions.
