Annie LaPoint is a California-based artist who began to paint and draw at a very early age. Most of her free time was spent doing artwork. While in high school, Annie loved her art classes more than any other classes and she received private art instruction as a teenager. She was very determined to become a professional artist. In 1991, she began to study the technique of watercolor at a local art league. This was soon after the birth of her third child. Her instructor focused on painting landscapes, but from the beginning all she wanted was to paint clay pots of flowers and ivy. Though today she’s is well known for her rich watercolors of mossy clay pots filled with blooms and ivy topiaries, her fun and fresh artwork are making a lot of people smile. She specializes in watercolors but also uses mixed media. Her new designs and images are found on all kinds of products for garden and home. Anne is married to Ken with whom they have three grown up children. The family gets involved in philanthropic and charity works through a building ministry in Mexico called ULCB Casabuilders. Annie collages her artwork with Bible verses in order to share the word of God with her audience. Looking carefully at her art one will find a scripture reference from the Bible somewhere in every painting. Through this, Annie spreads the word of God, and this is how she gives each piece of artwork back to God, who is the greatest Artist of all! Framed Annie LaPoint art are therefore great for hanging on the walls of religious places/families.
