Claire Kahn graduated in 1977 from Stanford University where she studied art. She’s a recipient of the distinguished Humanities Award. Claire currently shows her art at Patina Gallery in Santa Fe, New Mexico. She has had a long and successful career, receiving continual commissions from many clients. Her intense passion for bright colors and the nature of her subject matter are a great source of inspiration for many upcoming artists. From 1977 to 1984, she worked for the architectural firm Owings, Skidmore and Merrill where she provided graphic design, interior and exterior treatments for projects including Miami’s Southeast Financial Center and San Francisco’s Davies Symphony Hall. A partial list of her clients includes Steven Craig, Mark Fuller, Fisher, Weisman, Design and Decoration, Scott Johnson, Meralee Goldman Holly Hulburd, Ronald and Maxine Lynde, David Kelley, The Roanoke Company, Patina Gallery, Skidmore, Owings and Merrill, San Francisco, Sayler Incorporated, Stoecker and Northway, Architects, Radha Stern, V’soske, SWA Group, Williams-Sonoma, WET Design, Stanford University, Continuing Studies Program, Wilson Sonsini Goodrich and Rosati, Ronald and Anita Wornick, and Peter Walker. Since 1985, she has been working with the fountain design firm, WET, where she currently serves as Executive Designer. Here, she has designed fountains at sites worldwide including The Fountains of Bellagio in Las Vegas, the New York’s Columbus Circle, Barcelona World Trade Center, and Beijing Finance Street. Framed Claire Kahn art are in many collections in all corners of the world. She maintains a studio practice using mixed media, and her projects works include commercial and residential installations.
