James W. Johnson Art

James W. Johnson (Born January 26, 1954) is an American artist who was born in Upstate New York. He specialized in sculptures and paintings. Johnson completed his MFA in 1981 from the Texas Tech University in Lubbock. He is a holder of a Bachelor of Arts degree from S.U.N.Y, Oswego that he received in 1997. He has over the wears contributed a lot to the industry of art by creating beautiful sculptures and paintings that many who admire and appreciate his talent call genius pieces of art. Johnson has created over two thousand sculptures and furniture pieces, paintings and other pieces of art that has earned him recognition in the art business. At the 2011William D Kerns Award for Visual Arts hosted at the Louise Hopkins Underwood Center for Arts, Johnson achieved his best accomplishment when he was voted as a joint winner in that arts contest. Since 1981, John has participated in more than one hundred and seventy art contests and exhibition. In 1998, his talent was again given a proper recognition when his art was featured on the cover of the New American Paintings Magazine. Johnson W.
