John and Lisa Merril live in Bellevue with their two children. The couple is active in the city’s Cultural Conversations group and enjoys whitewater rafting, cycling, skiing, hiking, and other Pacific Northwest adventures. Lisa joined Social Venture Partners in 1998 and has served on its K-12 Education Advocacy and Policy Committee, Early Childhood Development Grant Committee, and Outreach Committee. The artists have received admirable reaction to their artwork and now have the ability to devote themselves to the creation of art on a full-time basis. Lisa has served as Trustee on the Seattle Social Venture Partners Board since 2011, and about 10 years ago, she co-founded Social Venture Partners’ Family Service Group with an objective of nurturing social responsibility in children through volunteering. She believes that early learning is important in enabling all children to do their best, and she’s a custodian of KidsQuest Children’s Museum. John is able to produce stunning pieces of art that has earned him repute. He has been producing art for several years and he once confessed that he loves his work. His works stand out because he takes his time to include the tiny details that most artists usually ignore. John and Lisa have the ability to create high-impact visual stories for diverse clients, including tourism organizations, travel companies, and non-profits. They work to tackle societal challenges and improve education. Framed John & Lisa Merril art are quite inspiring and they can be found hanging on the walls of many institutions, museums and galleries.
