Lara Jealous Art

Lara Jealous has a BFA in Visual Arts (art history, printmaking and painting), and a post-graduate in Design. Also known as Lara Trace Hentz, or The Jealous Curator, she’s worked as a designer and Creative Director for several years, but has never stopped creating and loving art. After years of looking at and admiring the attractive contemporary works of art, decided that that was the way to go and in 2009, The Jealous Curator was born. Lara writes daily posts showcasing artwork from around the world, and she’s written two books that were published in 2014 by Chronicle Books. She has curated shows in Chattanooga TN, LA, Vancouver Canada, Washington DC, and San Francisco. She’s also thrilled to have been given the opportunity to write magazine articles for Anthology and Frankie. The Jealous Curator has been featured by Sunset Magazine, Oprah Magazine/oprah.com, Frankie Magazine, Flow Magazine, InsideOut Magazine, Apartment Therapy, The Vancouver Sun, and Glamour Paris. Framed Lara Jealous art are also found in numerous galleries and collections around the world. Lara loved to learn new things and was literally being stopped in her tracks every time she saw a piece of art that she loved so she could learn something from it. It felt awkward, but now, after years later, she’s has turned that “jealousy” into a magically wonderful inspiration. Lara has been a regular contributor to Emily Henderson’s sfgirlbybay.com and Style, and has written posts for Yellowtrace, Move Lifestyle, Design Crush, West Elm, Etsy, etc. she’s highly sought after by many clients.
