Victoria Jackson loved art from her childhood. She was strongly influenced by her mother and her grandmother who were both artists. They were always creating something. Victoria can remember painting with her mother on the same canvas. Her mother would start painting at the top of the canvas and she would start at the bottom. When she grew tired, her mother would finish the painting. She loves all art, and she found that creating abstracts gave her a good balance in her creative process. Although the abstracts are so different from her traditional landscapes, they give her great pleasure and the opportunity to just play with her paint. The scenic and beautiful landscape in the south of France has always been a great influence on her. Like so many famous artists before her, her favorite place of all is Aix En Provence. She usually goes there for inspiration. Apart from that, much of the inspiration from her transitional and traditional work comes from her travels through France and Morocco. She loves Morocco because it is a country of many colors, with rich mountains, forests and the Sahara. It is truly awe inspiring, with its location between the Mediterranean and Atlantic. Framed Victoria Jackson art are found in many galleries and collections. Her specialty is inspired, dramatic skies and spacious landscapes. Victoria series of compelling abstracts combine a fantastic blend of shapes and colors that spark the imagination. She has participated in many art exhibitions where her art has caused a lot of excitement, and has received warm reception.
