KC Haxton was born in Santa Cruz, California. He has been making art ever since he was able to hold a pen in his hand. Even his first words were “lellow”, blue, and red. He has traveled a lot in California with his family, gathering experiences that have shaped his unique view of the world since his childhood. He never lived in one place for longer than a few months, but finally, he settled down in Ashland, Oregon at the ripe old age of 14. He used to go into a Buddhist temple with his father where he could spend his days donating his time to the tiger sanctuary at the temple, where he could aid in the rehabilitation of unwanted and abused exotic animals. He also got the opportunity to raise two Bengal tiger cubs. From the ages of 16 to 18, Haxton managed to become an accomplished carpenter, an apprentice to an architect and a sponsored amateur skateboarder. He became a self-employed photographer and graphic artist, and won many statewide art contests. Soon he was accepted into Art Center in Pasadena, California. Haxton fell in love with acting, stopped painting and forgot about the Arts for some time. For 3 years he acted in over 15 different plays and went to a school for the theater arts at the same time. He went ahead and even started his own theater company and starred in several short films. However, Haxton felt that something was missing in his life. So in early 2002, he bought a roll of canvas and some paints and started painting again. Since then he has been painting his heart out and loves every minute of it. Framed KC Haxton art are currently selling in large numbers and are highly priced.
