Hilario Gutierrez Art

Hilario Gutierrez started painting in 1994. He was blessed with a cultural background based on his mother and father's native homes. Gutierrez was mainly influenced by the American Southwest. His background became very evident in his initial paintings. At the onset, he painted using acrylics, and he began to seriously experiment with form and color. Gutierrez was so passionate about painting that he concentrated on learning and teaching himself through the works of Dan Namingha and Gerhard Richter, enabling him to sharpen his artistic skills and in just a year's time, he was already selling his artistic works. His art can be found in galleries such as Handsel Gallery in Santa Fe, Evan Lurie Gallery in Indianapolis, and Costello-Childs Contemporary in Scottsdale. Gutierrez has had numerous achievements through his art, including being featured in Chicago Sun-Times and later in Luxe Interiors + Design Magazine. He has participated in several solo and group shows. In 2000, 2 of his artworks were found an entry into the 4th Annual Juried Exhibition by ArtLink, Inc. of Phoenix. His works are in collections such as DMB, Inc., AllianceBernstein LP, UBS AG, and McDonalds Corp. His work can also be found in numerous global collections. Gutierrez released his first work in the form of a book in 2009 under the name "Chaos On The Canvas - The Art of Hilario." Through the book, he's included full color images. Through the book, he managed to share in pictorial form some of his works and the ideas behind such art pieces.
