Anthony Grant Art

Artist Anthony Grant is a native New Yorker. He is self-taught fine art painter with a BA degree in Painting and Art History from the Rhode Island School of Design. Grant began his career at Sotheby’s in 1979 as an intern. He has over 30 years experience in painting and works in both abstract representational and expressionism painting. Some of his Selected Solo and Group Exhibitions include those at The Art Underground Gallery, Louisville CO, Dairy Center for the Art, Boulder, CO, Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art, Creative Framing and Gallery, Louisville CO, Tempe Festival of the Arts, Tempe AZ, Osmosis Gallery, Niwot CO, Lubbock Arts Festival - Annual, Lubbock TX, Summerfest Arts Faire, Login UT, Artfest@CityArts, Dallas TX, NICFest Nicolaysen Community Festival, Casper WY, Vail Arts Festival, Vail CO, Downtown Grand Junction Art Festival, Mountain Art Festival, Breakenridge CO, Janan Gallery, Cherry Creek North, CO, Anthony Grant Studio Gallery, Louisville, CO, etc. His paintings have also been displayed at the San Diego Art Institute and the San Diego Museum of Art, The Dairy Center for the Arts in Boulder, the La Jolla Museum of Contemporary Art, and at “Art Alive” exhibition. In 1983 Grant joined the Contemporary Art department in New York and became Head of the department in ten years later. He left the company in 1995 and became the Director of PaceWildenstein Gallery. In 2005, Grant rejoined Sotheby’s worldwide Contemporary Art department as Senior International Specialist based in New York. Today, framed Anthony Grant art are much sought after by many private and corporate collectors.
