Artist Edward Gordon (Born in 1940) was born and brought up in Ocean City, New Jersey. He loved art from a young age and knew that he would one day achieve his dream of becoming a full time artist. He obtained his B.A. from Rutgers University. His dream to become a professional artist has come to pass. He began publishing his own giclée prints in 1997, and at present he has published more than thirty giclée editions, majority of which are sold out! Gordon’s prints and paintings are included in private and public collections across Europe and North America. His art is sold in different finishing options. Most collectors, corporations and even individuals prefer ready to hang framed Edward Gordon art. Because of the incredible detail and precision contained in each of his paintings, he is able to produce only about 6 images or less per year. His solitude evokes all senses of his viewers: the touch of objects, the sounds and smell of the ocean, with windows and doors opening to never-ending opportunities. Just like in photography, Gordon deliberately softens the strong contrasts of the picture without necessarily blurring the forms. He mellows the outlines of his drawings with such perfection that it becomes impossible to detect his under drawings. His art is adorning the walls of many prestigious galleries, museums and private homes in America and abroad. Gordon achieves painstaking and complete precision in his rendering of colors, forms and textures. He uses these elements to achieve perfect balance in his artwork.
