Frank Hettick (Born in 1937) was born in Tillamook, Oregon. The artists points out that color, composition, perspective, theme and matched lighting, are all things that an artist must accomplish since a computer has no talent in these areas. Hettick has always been keen to detail brought on by his exposure to the early photo-realistic scenes, and the computer has proved to be a very beneficial tool in his attempts to picture those scenes that probably no one will ever see. Although he has no strong ambition towards a reputation in commercial space art, Hettick has had several TV-appearances and magazine covers. He followed the footsteps of many other space artists of his time. His interest in astronomical and space art began at age13 when he looked at the fantastic illustrations by Chesley Bonestell and Willy Ley in a copy of "The Conquest Of Space." The illustrations encouraged him to begin drawing his own space scenes. His first medium of choice was tempera but he later changed to oils. Hettickās efforts in the development of commercial real estate resulted in many large retail and shopping center projects. In 1971 he worked with a Chicago publisher, traveled through Central and North America conducting lectures and seminars, and wrote a book. Today, he has so many clients who are as diverse as the art and design projects he has had the privilege to produce. There is a broad variety of finishing options of his art, including framed Frank Hettick art, to satisfy the varying needs of clients. His art stand out in crowd because they give life to his subjects and give them a fresh new look.
