Joyce Fournier combines impressionist and contemporary realism to create figurative and portrait art. Although she was originally interested in landscapes and florals, she has transitioned towards drawing and painting humans. Her "Fashion Flirt" series has brought her fame because of their quality and subject matter. The series captures fashion women dressed in unique outfits, all of which Joyce designs right on her canvas. Many of her artwork pieces from the series were exhibited in December 2009 at the Florence Biennale. Joyce also introduced fashion handbag series, which she does on textured wood, using acrylic and oil as her media. Joyce creates her artwork using mixed media, including oil, charcoal, and acrylic.
The quality of her works has given her wide critical acclaim and has seen her work exhibited in Canada, the U.S. and a host of other countries. She was part of the Symphony of Colours international show that was hosted at the Duomo Auditorium in Florence in 2011. Joyce has won several awards including Award of Excellence issued by Art Domain Gallery 2008 and second place Prize of Excellence for ART NOW 3. Her creative works are available in galleries and private and public collections in Canada, U.S., and Europe. American Art Collector magazine featured her art in 2009. With most people preferring ready to hang wall arts, several galleries and art outlets provide framed Joyce Fournier art. At the same time, some of her art pieces are also sold in different other finishing options across the U.S.
