Penny Feder Art

Penny Feder (Born 1949) was born in Brooklyn, New York. In 1971 Penny completed her Bachelor of Fine Art at C.W. Post College. She never stopped there but continued studying art at C.W. Post College with a focus in printmaking. She graduated with a Master's Degree in Art in 1975. Since her gradation she has been very active in the New York art scene. Due to her hard work she was appointed to awards juries for national and local exhibitions. Penny is also a lecturer on various printmaking techniques in arts organizations and schools. She paints each of her images individually on smooth non-porous surfaces, and then transfers them to papers under pressure. Additional work then follows with pastels, paint, and metallic highlights. Penny's artwork has been exhibited throughout Europe and the United States, and she has won numerous accolades and awards. She has exhibited at the National Arts Club, New York, National Academy Galleries, The Queens Museum, Queens, NY, The Armory, New York, The Institute of Arts and Letters, New York, Salmagundi Club, New York, Philadelphia Print Club, Philadelphia, Long Island University, Long Island, New York, Cultureel Centrum, Schoten, Belgium, and Saint John's College, Washington, DC. Her art are in several collections including Nynex Corporation, Long Island University, Italian Leather Company New York and Italy, Holland American Lines International, Cunard Lines International, Brooklyn Union Gas Co., U.S. State Department Washington, Olympia Medical Center Seattle, and Bristol-Meyers Squibb. This explains why framed Penny Feder art is found in many parts of the world.
