Sheila Elsea was raised in an artistic family and her instinctive artistic talent was developed at a young age from her mother who was a fine oil painter. Sheila was born in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley in Northern Virginia and spent much of her earlier years training in art. She’s a national published artist, working with Abbey Lane Publishing and Penny Lane Publishing. Her works have been widely shown in art galleries and art venues. They can be found in many private homes throughout the U.S. including custom artistic installations and projects for Architects, private clientele and Designers. Sheila’s collection of licensed artworks can be found in national print galleries, retail home decor stores, and licensed products. Her artwork has been in many leading interior design magazines, such as Home & Design, Naples Illustrated, Gulfshore Life and Naples Design. Sheila’s art has been featured in galleries, published in national magazines, and featured in corporate and private collections. They are also availed as framed Sheila Elsea art which come ready to hang with all the required accessories. She has been commissioned by many Interior designers to create Fine art on canvas and murals in the homes of TV personalities and Fortune 500 Company CEO’s in Southwest Florida. Sheila’s transition went from contemporary methods, to traditional studies of the classics and everything in between. According to her, it is the nature of the artist to search for self and that’s her journey, one which will continue to change and evolve. She says that art is a language that crosses all cultures and borders containing both physical imagery and raw energy.
