Megan Duncanson Art

Megan Duncanson is a contemporary artist who considers her style as pop and contemporary eclecticism. She has been painting and drawing since her childhood, a fact that has given her long spanning art making experience. Megan studied Political Science at the University of Florida from where she earned her Bachelor's and later a Master's degree. Her studies focused on Gender Theory and International Relations. Although she had no formal art training, Megan decided to focus on her passion for art, knowing very well that it wouldn’t be easy competing other great artists. However, being self-taught came as an advantage since it allowed her to create unique artwork that only defined her signature style. Megan was brought up in Alaska, went to school at Hawaii Pacific University and shortly lived in Florida. All these places influenced her art in one way or the other. Her creative works are clearly influenced by tropical beauties of Florida and Hawaii as well as features of her Alaska home. As a result, Megan’s art captures birds, beautiful sunsets, palm trees, martinis, and other subjects, provided they appeal to her and she can explore to them to express their beauty. She has remained progressive, with every year bringing growth in terms of collectors, buyers, networks, and international approval. Megan currently balances her life in Florida and her Alaska home. She continues to create art and is inspired by the beauties of both locations. Her art can be found in different galleries across the globe and are also displayed in both private and public collections.
