From a young age, Dr. David Dietrich, showed a keen attentiveness and interesting whatever he was doing. This is what he was known for and has earned him respect and admiration among his peers. From that tender age, he knew that he would be an artist. He was inspired by nature and the love of botany came so naturally to him. In the course of pursuing his personal dream, his artistic talents were actually encouraged by the feedbacks he used to receive from those who viewed and admired his art and he managed to attract a huge following of loyal fans and clients. In fact, today his client base now covers many countries. He was one of the leading figures of German botany in the 19th Century. Although over a period of more than 3 decades he published more than 10 significant works of botany, he is most famous as the editor of the finely illustrated and the monumental Flora Universalis. The artist painted from his soul and recreated a true reflection of the subjects. He loved art so much and worked on improving his art on daily basis, and he was very keen to detail. That explains why he’s open to learning, though he had been and artist for many years. His work titled “Forst Flora” contains 2 volumes with more than 300 plates that are hand colored and beautifully engraved. Quite a number of species of trees are depicted in these volumes, often with flowers, fruit, and flower dissections. Framed Dr. David Dietrich art hang on the walls of many institutions today.
