Kathleen Denis Art

Kathleen Denis is a native of South Florida. She was given her art lessons at the age of four. Kathleen later joined the University of Miami where she earned Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Graphic Design. She continued in this profession following decade. With a desire to be a painter, Kathleen then studied under several leading artists including Mike Rooney, Camille Przewodek, Kenn Backhaus, Jeanie Dobie, and Colin Page. Since 1994, she has painted professionally in oils and watercolors, and has exhibited in art industry trade shows in California, NYC, Atlanta, and at juried outdoor art shows and gallery exhibits. She has become on of the nation’s leading licensed artists since 1998. Her artworks can be found on numerous gift products including textiles, kitchenware and wallpaper. These prints and products are found in home décor and department stores, gift shops, movies, galleries, hotels, resorts, as well as private collections, both nationally and internationally. Currently, Kathleen shows her original oil paintings in juried Plein Air events, exhibits, and fine art galleries. Several licensed galleries also avail framed Kathleen Denis art ready for their customers. She is recognized and awarded with great acceptance. She uses painterly, impressionistic style. She finds much of her inspiration from quaint cottages, coastal scenes, and nature. The hallmark of her work is the impression of solitude and peace that she uses to invite each viewer into each scene to spend time reading, resting, and praying. Kathleen believes that her artwork is an extension of God’s hand that works through her; she says that she likes to think that God just lets her hold the brush.
