Sylvie Demers Art

Sylvie Demers is a Canadian artist living in the Greater Montreal. She is one of the artists who are mostly passionate about color. She hopes that every one of her artworks will convey a feeling, stir a mood, and transport the viewers to another world. Her passion for painting has made her to believe that every image has the potential to tell a story, and that every image has a message that it delivers to the viewer. Sylvie’s world is light and full of happy surprises and she has always been mesmerized by color. Sylvie has illustrated several book covers for the Presses de l’Université du Québec. She has always felt the need to vary her subject matter and believes this variety keeps her prints, art and posters fresh, and adds to their collectability. In 2011, she joined the COLOURlovers.com community and since then she has been designing pattern templates that are fresh and youthful, and in 2012, she won “Become our New Artist”, the Gelaskins.com contest. Sylvie likes to read and to travel and has been a tremendous source of inspiration to many upcoming artists. She tends to look for new and inventive ways to present her work. Her works have been published as greeting cards, fine art prints, and posters. She believes that her paintings reflect a balance of technical and emotion skill. Acrylic paints and watercolor help her to express her inner spontaneity and optimism. She has enjoyed many successful exhibitions both in solo and in group.
