Lori Deiter is a self taught artist who was born and raised in rural Pennsylvania. She works full time as a budget analyst but has to find time to do her artwork. She loved art from a tender age and knew from that early age that she would one day become an artist. However, it was not until 2007 that she started serious work in photography. Since then, she’s always found with her Canon 60D by her side. Her favorite subjects are waterfalls, rural scenery, barns, and animals, including her wild chipmunks and two Labrador Retrievers that she rears. The photos of her chipmunk have been published in numerous periodicals and magazines in Europe and the United States. She tries to keep her subjects as varied as possible as that tends to mean she gets asked to do a variety of jobs and types of work which is how she likes it. Lori also tries her hand in Photoshop and uses textures and various treatments on many of her images. Her popularity has increased and today, framed Lori Deiter art are highly priced by many discerning collectors. Through photography, Lori has developed a greater appreciation for all of the little things in life that she loves to capture and share with the world. Her art is a means through which she expresses her love of nature to her viewers. She strives to create art that’s not just mean for hanging on the wall but that which can also inspire her viewers. She’s been a great source of inspiration to many upcoming photographers.
