CH Studio releases artwork created by Cody Hooper, an American painter who was brought up in North Texas. He’s been passionate about art since a very young age. His life as a child was filled with art, being surrounded by the beautiful landscape of the Southwest as well as music and art. Such things inspired him into fine art, seeing him start the pursuit to better his artistic skills while still young. Hooper studied art under Barbara Hughes, a Southwest watercolor artist, taking years to learn the skill. The training provided him with an opportunity to learn a lot about watercolors and he focused mainly on producing realistic art using the media. After spending several years in watercolors and refining his skills in the media, Hooper decided to try out more, opting to try his hand in abstracts and delivering them in diverse mediums. As a painter, this provided him with an opportunity to expand his artistic skills and learn new areas of painting that he hadn’t experienced before. In the abstracts, he found great freedom and a chance to try out his hand in a number of things that enabled him to explore and grow in the art. What made him even surge further forward was his deep fascination with texture, the effects of color, and the emotional appeal of diverse compositions in art. Doing away with the representational element and making a narrative piece devoid of observational subject made abstract very interesting to him. He has grown to be a versatile artist who currently works a mix of bold styles that encompass sleek and contemporary as well as weathered and organic. Hooper has a unique way of applying a powerful combination of texture, color, and composition to best express his subjects. His creative pieces can be found in diverse galleries.
