Tina Carlson has been a professional photographer and writer for several years. She lives in Thousand Oaks, California and works in Camarillo out of her own studio. Tina lives in a world of stimulating bright colors. Her originality is triggered by her urge to explore media mixed with her keen observation of nature. Tina is a faithful visitor of museums and galleries and she keeps an open eye on new trends. She has worked on several projects that have found their way into a number of high profile corporate and private companies. She worked as a photojournalist and journalist for several magazines and newspapers. Tina’s first camera was Nikon F2 and she continues to use Nikon digital SLR cameras to date. She has several photographs to her name. One of her best places to photograph is the Channel Islands National Marine Sanctuary where she captures the mood, light and feel of this challenging environment by creating abstract depictions of the cliffs and beaches of Santa Rosa Island, Santa Cruz and Anacapa. Tina has always felt that she needs to vary her subject matter. She believes that by varying the subject matter, her prints will be appealing to different classes of people and this will increase their collectability.
