Mark Cabral Art

Mark Cabral is collected and exhibited across the United States and abroad. He was born into an environment where linguistic tools had real significance. His mother was an Egyptologist, a field where the integral part of communication is symbolism. Cabral developed and interest in symbolism under the influence of his mother. This interest in the workings of codes and linguistics lasted well into his high school days, when it was morphed into printmaking and painting. He put all her effort in learning and exhibited firm talent in printmaking and painting and acquired extensive skills in printmaking through internships with local artists. He further refined his skill and technical approach to etching, while studying the expansive collection of The Glore Print Room. After high school he moved to Chicago to further his study through the many galleries and museums there. Cabral studied both contemporary masters and early Renaissance engravings. This defined his conceptual approach to etching. Being a talented artist, his learning process was very easy and he mastered the painting and printing techniques very fast. His studies have resulted into a unique, postmodern treatment of color and semiotics, with simple, effective, and understating of imagery. Mark has gained global renown, and as a testimony to this, framed Mark Cabral art can be found in galleries and collections all over the world. He has over the years developed a unique style that makes his work stand out among the works of other artists. He’s now counted as one of the leading artists in the United States.
