Emily Burrowes Art

Emily Burrowes studied art in a small art department at Roehampton Institute in London. That’s where she realized that she loved screen-printing. Her painting style developed from her love of screen-printing. So she paints in much the same style as she prints, with a clean edged layered approach. She still loves printing and this has directly influenced the way she paints. Her paintings are in acrylic and she uses top quality handmade canvases that are built by a small UK company. The canvases are made from sustainable wood. She soon turned her attention to promoting herself as a pet portrait artist. She began exhibiting her work at dog shows and specializing in dog portraits. Her first ever dog was in 2007 at Crufts exhibition and she continued to exhibit at Crufts for the next five years. Now she has made a decision to attend lots of art markets, dog shows, and village fete throughout the year. She loves getting out and about at shows and meeting new people to help improve her skills. Framed Emily Burrowes art are found allover the world. She has clients in Finland, Korea, Australia, Switzerland, South Africa, and the United States of America, just to mention but a few. She loves to capture the unique personality of a pet as a print on paper or canvas or in acrylic paint on canvas. Emily starts her work from her client’s photographs producing a design for the client to view before she begins the final portrait.
