Terri Burris Art

Terri Burris is a painter who started painting at a young age. She got instructions from a neighbor, with whom they spent several hours, inspiring her into creating art to professional levels. Later in her life, she got involved in ceramic, graphic, and textile design, strengthening her artistic knowledge. All these bits of information and knowledge that she acquired only inspired her further to return to her deep rooted passion, which is painting. These skills also made it possible for her to produce artwork that shows fascination with nature, design, and abstraction. Terri creates art from ideas drawn from nature and adds some flavor from nostalgia and her memory. Through her life observations, she captures even tiny details thus enabling her to deliver quite appealing palettes. Even though she works with other subjects, she's mainly inspired by North Carolina coast; from the weather to music, her family to faith. Terri creates art using a beautiful combination of colors, creating unique layers thus making her every piece distinguishable from the other. Her use of collage in some images is a way to trigger every individual to understand her message in their unique ways and imaginations. Terri won the Image-Ination Award. Her works are in exhibitions such as the Long Beach Arts in Long Beach, CA; SKGallery in Venice, CA; and Finegood Gallery in West Hills, CA.
