Richard Burns Art

Richard Burns started drawing and sculpturing at a very young age. He could draw n any surface using anything he could lay his hands on. However, it was not until his junior year of college at Northern Arizona University that he decided to take art seriously and make art his life’s career. Following this epiphany, he transferred to Cal. State University Northridge where he majored in art. Since his graduation he has produced so many pieces of artwork. He has exhibited in several solo shows and has featured in many exhibitions in museums and galleries. His love of nature shines through all his acrylic paintings. Burns’ paintings tell the story of where he is going and where he has been as an artist and as a person. He has used his wildlife paintings to benefit various charities and funds that protect the endangered species and the environment. His pieces of artwork are a creation of animals and scenes taken from the beautiful, inspiring, and colorful places he holds dear to his heart. Though he is known for his wildlife art, he is also fascinated by lighthouses and cottages, and he has recently added them to his repertoire.
