Victoria Brown Art

Victoria Brown has been painting for more than a decade. She also works on art projects aimed at exploring ways to effectively nurture creativity and encourage people of all ages to engage in the arts. Victoria believes creativity is in everyone, and is a means through which people can express themselves and respond to the world they live in. According to her, being creative connects people to the world around them and fosters emotional wellbeing, valuing communities, places, people, and highlighting issues people face. Currently she is working on a project which will focus on growing and soil. She will be providing opportunities for people to get involved and will be studying a crop from seed to harvest and create a collection of paintings. Her work is celebratory and often responds to the beauty on this earth and people’s connection to it. She has built a collection of paintings of: pools, seas, gardens, seeds, water, and flowers, and most recently spring blossom. Her love for light, color and pattern led her to develop painting techniques using, gold leaf, oil paints lace and sometimes sequins. Her painting style has its roots in the beautiful lace her family once manufactured. She is fascinated by the complexities of its construction and the negative spaces in the lace. That’s why she came up with a project called the 'Losing Lace' which was highly successful. Her most recent project, ‘Blossom’, was supported by Arts Council England. Due to her creativity, framed Victoria Brown art are in great demand all over the world.
