Nicky Boehme Art

Nicky Boehme is a graduate of The Oakland Art Institute in California where she studied Technical Art. After her graduation she worked as the Art Director of several national art agencies. In the course of her work she received numerous awards as a graphic designer and an illustrator. A native Californian, Nicky always knew that painting was to be her vocation. Nicky has been painting and drawing ever since she was a child. She has many feature articles on her and on her art in national magazines and trade publications. Nicky’s art has been published internationally in several books. She’s a member of the Oil Painter of America and the American Society of Marine Artists, and therefore participated in the eighth National Exhibition in Newport News, Virginia which was sponsored by the Mariner's Museum. Her art developed from her passion and regard for what nature provides; the attractive sceneries, the landscape, and the beautiful objects. Her painting evolved from her desire to represent the beauties of natural and man-made objects so that her viewers can taste and enjoy the beauty of these man-made and natural things that surround us. Her experience in painting spanning several years has given her the knowledge of dramatic lighting and the ability to transport the viewer to a special place in time through her art, prints and posters. Nicky has worked for many years with designers, architects, individuals and corporations to create art for specific environments.
