Val B. Bochkov resides in Alexandria, Virginia. He is a specialist in illustration and design. He has created many illustrations and covers for publications such as Good Housekeeping, the New York Times, Business Week, Washington Post, Cosmopolitan, and Men’s Health. His illustrations have been used in more than 400 books which are published throughout world. Some of his works are the illustrations for the Golden Book of Russian Fairy Tales, the New Testament, and Grimm’s Fairy Tales. With seven personal exhibitions in the United Kingdom, Germany, the Netherlands, the United States, and Russia, including the Edinburgh Art Festival, Bochkov has earned great respect as an artist.

Bochkov uses a variety of media including digital, acrylic, watercolor, oil, and gouache. His creativity is evident in all his illustrations and designs. He is the principal director of The Val Bochkov Studio, in Old Town Alexandria. The studio offers visual services including visualizing, concepts, and illustrations for public relations, adverting, and corporate needs. Bochkov incorporates his experience and talents to create mixed media creative concepts that include creative outdoor, package, illustration, design, print, and television concept. His skills have been used by advertising agencies as McCann-Erickson, BBDO, Arnold, and JWT, as well as earned him the ADDY Award. Bochkov has also contributed to the success of Mercedes Benz, Discovery Communications, BMW, Proctor & Gamble and Knorr.
