Ken Bailey (born 1953) was born in Salt Lake City. He studied art though out his school years, but he developed his style on his own. His first career after graduating from University of Utah was in advertising and marketing. His specialty was print media and copy writing. In the late 1980s, Bailey opened and art gallery in Seattle Washington and displayed his work along with other recognized artists. After about 15 years or so, he closed the gallery to focus on his art. Bailey’s art has been used in the sets of television show including, How I Met Your Mother”, ‘The Middle”, Pushing Daisies”, “Harry’s Law” and “Chicago Code.” His art is a favorite of Hollywood set designers. His work has also been in the films “One For The Money” and “No Reservations.” Additionally his work has been used in the sets of several television ads. Bailey has been the focus of numerous blog articles and magazine. His focus is vintage advertising style featuring cats and dogs. His approach is contemporary with bold designs and bright colors, even though the root of his art is vintage art. Framed Ken Bailey art have found their way into many galleries and museums. His art also hangs in tens of thousands of offices and homes throughout the world. One of Bailey’s on going activities is his support of pet rescue organizations. He donates thousands of dollars worth of art yearly to support rescue activities. This has added to his admiration by many people.
