Erin Ashley is an artist who’s known internationally. She’s lived in Florida, New York, and Los Angeles for most of her life. As a self-trained painter, she has applied her diverse experiences and background to the contemporary arts. She loves the raw beauty that creates over time like rusted metals, trains, or chipped paint on an old weathered building. Bringing out the old with the new in her work enduring a fusion of both has become the hallmark of this rising artist. She likes the idea of each painting being a journey that ends at a beautiful destination. Her paintings are made with lots of textures and color that brings out the old with the new. She begins her work without any preconceived ideas at all about what the finished work would look like. She says that art has the power to make one see things in a new light.
