Diane Arthurs’ artistic journey began her at a very early age. She could draw, paint, sketch and color any surface that was available using any material she could lay her hands on. Continuing into a more academic environment in high school, Diane participated in a commercial art program and then onto art school where she graduated with a degree in art. After graduation, she worked as an art director of an advertising agency. She never got the satisfaction she needed here and decided to branch out on her own and specialized in graphic design. Her paintings have been described as comfortable and soft; some of her most recent work includes floral art and game room. She wants her art to evoke emotions and warm feelings in her viewers. She likes to travel a lot and her inspiration comes from these travels. Those who purchase her art today do so because they are attractive, durable and inspiring. Diane invites viewers not to hesitate to critique her work, because, she says, that’s the best way she can learn to improve the quality of her work. Framed Diane Arthurs art is in many galleries and collections around the world. Diane produces a range of identically styled still-life paintings in acrylic medium. A scenic theme shadows over much of her art as she strives to capture the essence of home. Diane believes country is handmade and homemade, but most of all provides a feeling of comfort that she wishes to draw her viewer into.
