Lola Abellan is a painter who identifies her subjects and transforms them into art that combines both flavor and intensity. She mainly draws her inspirations from flowers and delivers them with great simplicity that makes her art appealing and friendly to the eye. Although her subjects are mainly flowers, she also covers topics such as organic forms, movement, nature’s elements, fruits and more. The primary focus of Lola’s art is to recreate and preserve components of nature and share its beauty. She has mastered figures and shapes through her years of experience, making it easier for her to achieve quality both in composition and form. Lola’s deep understanding of shapes is believed to have emanated from a view she used to enjoy during her childhood. She studied art in 1975 at Massana School in Barcelona after which she proceeded to Escuela de Artes y Oficios, where she completed her studies. Besides her formal artistic training, she further honed her skills by taking small time jobs before going fully professional. Since Lola started creating art, her creative works have been exhibited in a variety of galleries located in various countries across the globe. She has also been part of several events, including shows and contests. Lola has several awards to her name, earning them from the many contests she’s attended. She won the medal of the Generalitat of Barcelona.
