Framed Strawberry Art is Fresh from the Farm!
Strawberries, the sweet red berry so synonymous with childhood and days long gone. Mixed with cream or ice-cream, dipped into chocolate, made into jam, picked straight off the plant. Everyone has fond memories of eating strawberries. Probably why many artists choose to create framed strawberry advertisement prints reminiscent of “the good old days.” Artists such as Gregory Gorham, Kimberley Poloson, Tom Wood, Catherine Jones, and David Carter Brown, are just a few of such creators.
Michael Goddard takes a more humorous approach with his framed strawberry comical art in which the berries are shown to have human-like personalities and emotions complete with little arms and legs, a truly unique approach indeed. While Charlene Audrey, Nicole Ettiene and Marilyn Hageman capture their strawberries more classically accompanied by wine and spirits. No doubt about it, strawberry wall art canvas prints are scrumptious!
Framed botanical strawberry prints are another popular way to showcase this luscious red fruit. Peggy Abrams in “Strawberries” creates a just plucked view while Pancrace Bessa, in her piece of the same name, depicts the fruit still on the plant and in the ground. Conversely, George Brookshaw has the plant with the fruit at varying levels of ripeness.
Of course, strawberries and still life go hand in hand, and there are many framed strawberry paintings of this type from which to choose. There are simple approaches such as Three Pitchers by Ray Hendershot, Strawberries with a Peach by Roa, or Strawberries by Anthony Morrow. While other artists create detailed scenes like Robin-Lee Vieira in Strawberry Days, Janet Stever in Spring Still Life or Barbara Mock's Time for Tea.
