Framed Slipper Art

Slippers are very comfortable to wear and they are hugely used by young people and adults. They're often decorative and not meant for walking long distances. They're just meant to be comfortable, and this comfort is found in framed art of slippers.

“Samantha's Boudoir I” by Marco Fabiano is a fun framed slipper painting of a pink, festive party slipper that brings us right back to those party nights in college. The slipper is against dark Victorian wallpaper, which gives it an old-fashioned feeling, while the pink maribou feather on top makes it feel new and young. It's the perfect reflection of youth in its early 20's.
A framed artwork of house slippers is “Fuzzy Lime” by Bambi Papais is very simple, like the former painting: it is a watercolour, in a kitchsy style, not very detailed, of two house slippers. Most everyone probably has a pair of these in their house. Although the details are rendered very simply, they look soft and comfortable. Care to wear a pair today?

An old framed painting of a slipper is Eugene Delcroix's “Study of a Slipper, 1827-1828”. It is impressionistic, and appears to be oil pastel on tinted paper. The slipper is a beautiful black-and-gold one on the person's foot. The country of the wearer is unknown, though the thought it could be from Russia crosses the mind. Much of the wearer's foot is exposed by the slipper, and is detailed as well, showing the shadows of the structure of the foot. This is an historical fashion painting with a touch of mystery.
