Framed Route 66 Artwork
Route 66 is also known to many as the Will Rogers Highway. It has a certain air of romance about it that has become an icon in American history. The route stretches from Los Angeles to Chicago. It has also been referred to as the Mother Road and The Main Street of America.
Many artists have used this famous road as the subject for their framed Route 66 art. There are people that buy this artwork for the love of the nostalgia more than for the love of art.
Artists like Dee Dee, Don Stambler, and KC Haxton use the road and the idea of vintage automobiles to create their pristine framed Route 66 art pieces. They each bring their own flair and creativity to the canvas and give a good selection to art lovers and lovers of history alike. Some of their popular pieces are “Route-66 A”, “Route 66 Diner”, and “Drive In” which actually combines the vintage auto, Route 66, and the long gone drive in movies.
Other artists like Karen Dupre and James Nocito use the attractions along the route to make their framed Route 66 art pictures. There are a lot of attractions along the way and states that are passed through and this is depicted well in Dupre’s piece “Route 66”. These pieces also have a lot of color which will brighten a room and bring warmth to the soul.
La Pop and Panoramic Images have some great computer generated pieces on the Route 66 collection that are appealing to anyone of any age; even if they don’t know the story behind the famous road. Aaron Foster uses the many license plates of states along the route to be the background for his version of the Route 66 sign.
