Kimono Framed Art
The kimono is known for the beautifulness of the design and the painstaking effort that goes into making them so elegant. Rather they are on a dancing geisha or a wife picking flowers from a garden they deserve to be captured in art.
There are many artists that have made it a mission to create framed kimono art so that the entire world can take in the beauty.
Nancy Slocum designed a series of framed kimono art pictures that add a touch of elegance wherever they may be hung with the use of black, red, and gold with a good amount of attention to detail. Another artist that uses the kimono and lets it stand alone on the merit of its own beauty is Vanna Lam. She has two very popular pieces that art lovers seek out on a regular basis.
The collection of framed kimono art paintings that represent the Mandarin figure are excellent examples of kimonos and how they have changed throughout history. The attention to detail is magnificent and it is a shame to have only one of the collection. History tells of men portraying women in the theater and wearing beautiful kimonos and there is a print that reflects this perfectly titled “Actor Portraying a Woman.”
