Framed Aqua Artwork
Blue and green are popular but there are several hues between them in the spectrum of colors, with aqua being electric and mesmerizing. The color has been around for a long time, with ancient Egyptians producing their very own pigments and over the course of time different shades and hues were created.
FramedArt.com has assembled an impressive collection of framed aqua prints, some of them authored by classic painters, but most of them belonging to modern artists.
In the Mesopotamian, Babylon and ancient Greece blue glass was produced and aqua art was immensely appreciated by the people of those times. Romans quickly embraced it and made extensive use of these decorations, which explains why Europeans were so fond of framed aqua prints. In the Middle Ages, the color gained traction and in addition to ultramarine, it was used by famous painters such as Albrecht Durer as background color. The fascination for blue and different shades grew to new heights and various colors in March, reaching the climax in the 17th century.
Rembrandt, Van Dyck, Titian, Rubens, El Greco and Tintoretto have all painted masterpieces that are now up for sale as framed aqua prints. In modern times, the color is preferred by artists who want to project an image of optimism and also convey a message directly. Since it is an excellent color for backgrounds, it makes it easy to include a message that should linger for a long time in the memory of the captivated audience.
