Framed Squirrel Artwork
Squirrels are everywhere. They're in our gardens, in our parks, in the trees of a university, and so on. They're energetic little animals which are very fuzzy, and therefore, very cute. Artists like to portray them in framed squirrel art.
The framed squirrel artwork “Squirrels” by Albrecht Durer was made in 1512. It is a simple artwork of two squirrels against a white background. Their setting is implied by the few small nutshells on the ground. One is looking somewhere in the distance, probably looking for predators. The other squirrel is focusing very strongly on chewing into its nut. The shadowing is strong, but lends a natural feeling to the painting, while the bright colours are also unified with the background colours.
“Squirrels” by Ann Geddes is a framed photograph inspired by squirrels that is of two infants dressed as squirrels. They are placed facing each other, and look very confused! One can only wonder what they were thinking as they were looking at the photographer. The colours are darker, but saturated at the same time. They are against an orange background, which unifies the other colours. It is a very humorous picture, guaranteed to make someone smile.
A piece of framed squirrel pop art is “Squirreling Away” by Bob Coonts. It is a highly stylized view from the side of a squirrel, which is holding a berry. In the foreground are small squares that have tiny pictures of plants in them. It is a very modern work that holds onto the very natural as well.
