Framed Pointer Prints
As dog breeds go, the Pointer is among the oldest recognizable ones and the first records can be traced back to the 17th century. Their popularity grew at the same pace as hunting did
, with Spanish and Portuguese pointers being exported to England. FramedArt.com depicts the dogs used for hunting purposes many centuries ago, but also the ones that are preferred as pets by modern people, in its collection of Framed Pointer Art.
Framed Pointer Art will reveal the fact that this breed of dogs bears some similarities to other breeds, including bull terriers, bloodhounds, foxhounds and even greyhounds. Their introduction to the United States was done at the turn of the 19th century, slowly but surely competing with Setters at bird hunting. In addition to proving their uncanny abilities on the hunting field, they also emerged as successful dogs at local shows and are pretty common today in international kennels.
Framed Pointer Art also showcases the even-temper of Pointers, who are known for their congeniality and friendly nature. They might be fairly big, but are not aggressive and can even be kept inside the house as long as the owners find the time and energy to take them outside for daily exercise. Under normal conditions, they enjoy sharing the same area with other dogs and cats, while loving the company of children. They enjoy every moment spent outdoors, but in the absence of such activities, they don’t mind acting as lapdogs or sitting on the couch.
