Framed Cream Art
Ivory is a great color for art because it is soothing, relaxing, and brings a warm feeling to the soul. Artists use this color in both traditional and nontraditional ways to create wonderful framed ivory artwork. Ivory is a color that is often associated with calm and serene, but sometimes artists can take a twist on that idea.
Judy Mandolf and Barry Hart use horses to create framed ivory pictures that capture both the eye and the heart. “Horse on the Hill” and “Lela’s Love” are great pieces for anyone that loves horses and art because; you get the best of both worlds. “Angel Eyes” is another great horse photo by Barry Hart. Ashley David possibly has one of the most creative ivory pieces with her work titled “Forever” which makes a lovely anniversary gift for a lover of the arts.
Arthur Rackham did a terrific framed ivory piece of “Alice in Wonderland” using only black on an ivory background. Andrew Wyeth and John Rossini use ivory to make soothing pictures of comfortable bedrooms in their works titled, “Master Bedroom” and “A Dog’s Life”. The “Master Bedroom” was painted in 1965 and is still popular today; having withstood the test of time.
Igor Levashov and Albena Hristova both use ivory to bring roses, gardenias, and magnolias to life on the canvas. Timothy O’Toole uses tones of ivory to immortalize his flower paintings of lilies backed with a shaded grid background. With the ivory color dominating the art the only question to determine when matching the decor; is what subject matter fits best in the room?
