Framed Basket Artwork
Since baskets were formed, they have served many different purposes, though the centuries. Baskets are used for carrying things, or as display for something pretty. We see baskets in the grocery stores all around the world and baskets in the laundry room. An artist can always find a way to make something that we think is so meaningless and turn it into, framed basket art.
Susie Boyer’s depiction of the laundry room makes it look fun to do laundry. Hanging this image in or near the laundry area of your home would make the space more inviting and provide an element of gratitude. The images displayed in this framed basket art are ones of older days before we had our high tech washers and dryers that we have today. Looking at the wash board is enough to crack a smile and make you say thank you.
Some gardeners find use in baskets to create an abnormal location for a floral arrangement. Barbara Mock and Pauline Eble Campanelli also find floral uses for baskets in their framed basket art. Baskets are also used to gather berries, other fruits, and veggies.
Michael Davidoff and other artist have beautiful depictions of the day bounties that were picked during a day of harvesting. Having the opportunity to pick your own fruits and vegetables is a great thing. Knowing that your food is fresh and unadulterated is a great thing to experience. Being able to forage through the woods and find nature’s edible berries is an awesome experience and makes for great framed basket art.
