Framed Swimming Art
The ability to swim was particularly useful since prehistoric times, but the recreational activity is not a modern invention either. The first written references go back more than 4000 years and were included in some of the major writings of the antiquity.
FramedArt.com has framed swimming posters dedicated to both the competitive recreational activity as well as the hobby, featuring professional athletes or regular people having a good time.
Swimming competitions were held for the first time in the first half of the 19th century in England, with the first indoor swimming pool to open in London. Over the next couple of years, swimming competitions were held regularly in artificial swimming pools and 50 years later he became an Olympic sport. The first competition was held in 1896 in Athens and the first event for women was held just four years earlier in Scotland. There are plenty of framed swimming posters dedicated to Olympic athletes and Michael Phelps is depicted in many of them.
The framed swimming posters celebrating the achievements of famous athletes sometimes include an inspiring quote. Some of them belong to the aforesaid Phelps while others convey the same motivational message through their title, such as the Control, Challenge and Concentration art prints. At the opposite end of the spectrum, there are photos and paintings highlighting the beauty of the aquatic world, focused on turtles, dolphins or schools of fish.
