Framed Sand Dune Art
Sand dunes are among the many beautiful formations made possible by natural occurrences. Depending on the movement of the wind or the water, there can be different sand patterns formed on the dunes.
In many of the framed sand dune art pieces, artists either try to capture the beauty of these patterns or the beauty of the shapes of the dune themselves.
One of the pieces of framed sand dune artwork that show the splendor of sand dunes is Sand Dunes Furrowed by Winds, Morocco by John and Lisa Merrill and Danita Delimont. In the piece, the close-up shot of the patterns formed in sand dunes is shown. A similar piece to this in that it shows the patterns of a sand dune is Sand dune patterns, Namibia by David Wall and Danita Delimont. In Sand Patterns, Sossosvlei Dunes, Namibia by Art Wolfe and Danita Delimont, the sand dune patterns together with the scenery is photographed stunningly.
Red Sand Dunes, Sahara by Michele Molinari and Danita Delimont is among the many framed sand dune photographs that shows the intricate beauty of Mother Nature. In the piece, Molinari and Delimont show a nearly perfect photograph of a sand dune. With ideal lighting and good image composition, the piece indeed is a work to be admired.
A certain feeling of despair seems evident in Amy Melious’ Sand Dunes I and Sand Dunes II. In the two pieces, Melious paints a typical desert scene. However, one can’t help but feel desolated when looking at them both. There seems to be a feeling of isolation in the two pieces that most art enthusiasts will surely appreciate.
