Framed Oakland Prints
A large port city at the Pacific Ocean and one of the larger cities in California, Oakland has been the county seat of Alameda County for more than one and a half centuries. FramedArt.com emphasizes the proximity to the bay area in its assembly of Framed Oakland Art, with some of these photographs also catching a glance at San Francisco. The two cities are located directly across the bay, which also explains the intense rivalry between the supporters of local sports teams.
Back in the day, the area surrounding Oakland was covered with thick forests and the redwood and oak timber was logged to build the city across the bay. When the city was added on the transcontinental railway as its Western terminal, people from all over the country flocked here and Oakland grew at a faster pace. Old buildings erected during those days can still be admired in black and white Framed Oakland Art, although the most impressive once are rich in color and revolving around the city skyline.
The Mediterranean climate makes Oakland a popular tourist destination and the official wildlife refuges and national parks only enhance its popularity with visitors. Inside the city outskirts, borders, popular landmarks such as the Jack London Square are visited throughout the year and they enjoy plenty of coverage in Framed Oakland Art. Exquisite restaurants, sophisticated bars and great music venues have turned the city into a hub of entertainment and consolidated its position as a major travel destination.
