Framed North Cascades National Park Prints
Located at the US-Canadian border, the North Cascades National Park was named after the several mountain peaks found here. Many of them are featured in the Framed North Cascades National Park Art at FramedArt.com and they are made of metamorphic and crystalline rocks. The mountain range is still rising and rivers are eroding the rocks, which results in deep valleys, with the vertical cliffs being the spectacular consequences.
Framed North Cascades National Park Art features three famous mountain peaks of the Picket Range, with Mount Terror, Inspiration Peak and MacMillan Spires being sought after by and mountain climbers. There are not many buildings erected within the borders of the national park, as most of it consists of protected wilderness, so backpackers have few choices for camping. Many of them choose to go directly to the Cascade Pass which is one of the main attractions.
With the vast majority of Framed North Cascades National Park Art being high-resolution photographs, it comes as no surprise that Mount Shuksan appears in so many of them. This is one of the preferred objectives for photographers, due to its majestic features and high peaks. There are hundreds of ponds and lakes scattered throughout the national park and no shortage of waterfalls either, which is not a surprise given the name chosen by the founders. The fauna includes endangered species as well as those that are no longer threatened with extinction, ranging from black bears and wolverines to bald eagles and moose.
