Framed Cannes Art

The Côte d’Azur is a popular tourist destination and the main attraction for those who are lucky enough as to book a flight to southern France is the city of Cannes. Conveniently located on the beautiful French Rivera, it is also the place where one of the most important film festivals in the world takes place. This is just the tip of the iceberg and those who travel here will be pleasantly surprised to discover the hidden beauties of the city, with some of them being revealed through framed Cannes art.
Framed Cannes prints have some of the luxury restaurants and hotels at their cornerstone, with many of them being erected dozens and even hundreds of years ago. Perfectly preserved, they serve as gracious host for important conferences, but also as getaways for the rich and famous. The city has been inhabited for almost 2000 years, with the Romans being the ones that established a small fishing village at the shores of the Mediterranean Sea.

The place was never deserted despite the struggles of the Roman Empire and the fortified city made it very difficult for invaders to conquer it. Some of their wins can still be admired in framed Cannes art prints, with an impressive castle being built 1000 years ago and many more were erected over the next few centuries. For quite a while it was controlled by the monks until it became independent in the early 16th century and it grew at a steady pace, until the explosion of luxury and affluence in the 20th century.
